MOTO(acquire) VS TRADEPENDING FOR DEALERS WEIGHING A SWITCH

TradePending is the most common trade-in tool on franchised dealer websites, and it is now part of Protomiq's shopper-intelligence suite. Here is how it lines up against MOTO(acquire) on the things a used-car desk actually feels: lead volume, whose name is on the value, and what happens after the lead.

ABOUT TRADEPENDING

WHAT TRADEPENDING IS

PROTOMIQ TRADEIQ (FORMERLY TRADEPENDING) · PROTOMIQ

TradePending launched as a website trade-in valuation tool and became the market leader among franchised stores. In 2026 the company rebranded as Protomiq and repositioned around "shopper intelligence": the trade tool is now tradeIQ, with paymentsIQ (payments), offerIQ (instant offers), AutoBio, Service Offers and Value Watch sold alongside it.

tradeIQ gives the shopper an instant valuation on the dealer's website and enriches the lead for the sales team with equity and payoff information, vehicle interest, household income and spending indicators, and a Hot / Warm / Low readiness score before it reaches the CRM. Monthly value updates to past customers are a separate product, Value Watch. Pricing is available on request.

ABOUT MOTO(acquire)

WHAT MOTO(acquire) IS

FOUR PRODUCTS · ONE PLATFORM · CHICAGO, IL

MOTO(acquire) helps dealers buy more cars from the customers they already have. MOTO(convert) is the website trade-in tool: a value range built on Kelley Blue Book data, in your store's branding, in about 30 seconds, with a firm-offer request the shopper verifies by phone and VIN.

Every lead then gets a monthly value-tracking email from MOTO(retain). MOTO(drive) texts service customers the moment an RO opens, MOTO(social) gives salespeople a link-in-bio page that feeds the CRM, and Know Your Buying Power comes with every product. Leads land in any CRM by ADF/XML under their own source name.

WHY DEALERS SWITCH

WHAT CHANGES WHEN YOU MOVE FROM TRADEPENDING

ONE

Fewer screens, more leads

Dealers switching from a legacy trade tool usually see more trade leads from the same traffic because the range arrives in a few taps and the shopper stays on the car they were looking at. Results vary by store, so bring last month's lead count to the demo.
TWO

Your name on the value, not a vendor's

The shopper sees your store on the range, the email and the firm-offer request. That changes who they call back.
THREE

Follow-up is part of the tool

Every lead gets a monthly email with their car's current value until they buy or trade. With TradePending that is a second product, Value Watch.
"We ran TradePending for years. Since switching to MOTO(acquire), we're getting more trade-in leads, our customers actually engage with their values, and they pick up when we call. And the support behind the tool has been amazing."

SWITCHING

WHAT STAYS THE SAME

  • Your website provider stays. MOTO(convert) installs with a snippet on every major dealer website platform.
  • Your CRM processes stay. Point the ones you built for TradePending at the new MOTO lead sources.
  • Your traffic stays. MOTO does not send you more visitors; it loses fewer of the ones you already have.
THREE STEPS

HOW A SWITCH WORKS

  1. Bring last month's trade-lead count to a 20-minute demo. We show you MOTO(convert) on your own site.
  2. Your web provider adds the snippet and we point your CRM at the six MOTO lead sources. Most stores are live within a day.
  3. Compare the month after with the month before: trade leads, appointments and cars bought from website trades.
